Financial supports to help make workplaces more accessible

Businesses that are making their workplaces more accessible for people with disabilities. 

You may be eligible if:

• You are a private-sector, community, not-for-profit, or voluntary business in Ireland
• You have offered employment to a person with a disability and they will require workplace adaptations to undertake duties 
• You have an employee who developed an illness, condition or impairment (occupational or otherwise) that affects their ability to carry out their job
• You have a workforce that requires training in the area of Disability, Equality and Inclusion

Eligibility is subject to terms and conditions

• Workplace Adaptation Grant to cover the cost of modifying workplaces to make them accessible for employees with disabilities (up to €25,000)
• Workplace Needs Assessment Grant to cover the cost of a registered specialist who can identify adjustments that can be made to the workplace to remove barriers experienced in carrying out a job or returning to work (up to €2,500)
• Disability, Equality, and Inclusion Training Grant to contribute towards the cost of staff training and development to promote the inclusion of people with disabilities in the workplace (up to €20,000)
• Workplace Equipment Grant (employee applies) to cover the cost of purchasing specialised equipment to make them accessible for employees with disabilities (up to €24,000)
• In-work Support (employee applies) to help cover the cost of retaining employees with disabilities who may need additional support due to their disability (up to €12,500)
• Communication Support  (employee applies) to cover interpretation costs for staff who are d/Deaf, hard of hearing, or have another condition that affects communication (up to 80 hours)
• Personal Reader Grant (employee applies) to support blind or visually impaired staff who need help with reading as part of work duties (up to €12,500)
