Tax Relief for investments in Energy Efficiency

The SEAI Accelerated Capital Allowances (ACA) is a program in Ireland that provides a tax benefit for businesses that invest in certain energy-efficient equipment

The SEAI Accelerated Capital Allowance (ACA) program is for businesses in Ireland that pay corporation tax or income tax on trading or professional income. 

You might be eligible if:

  • Companies: Any registered business entity in Ireland can benefit from the ACA program.
  • Sole traders: Individuals running their own businesses can claim the ACA for eligible equipment used in their trade.
  • Farmers: Farms can also take advantage of the ACA to offset the cost of energy-efficient equipment used in their operations.
  • It's important to note that the equipment must be new and owned by the business to qualify for the tax deduction. Leased or hired equipment won't be eligible.

  • You are an existing Enterprise Ireland (EI) client
  • You are a potential EI client operating a small to medium business

Access Advice: IP Start supports companies to obtain external expert IP advisory and support services to address immediate IP issues. For example, prior-art research in support of an RD&I Technical Feasibility study, IP Audit, drafting and filing a patent, registering a trademark etc.

Businesses actively involved in research and development that need immediate help with intellectual property matters.

You may be eligible if: 

  • You are an existing Enterprise Ireland, a Local Enterprise Office or Údarás na Gaeltachta client
  • You are an Irish owned businesses operating in the manufacturing/internationally traded services sectors employing 10 or more.

Cross-border trading is one of the easier, more accessible ways to begin exporting. This programme is designed to help businesses grow on an all-island basis by dedicating a sales resource to develop sales opportunities in the cross-border market.

You might be eligible if: 

  • You are a small to medium-sized business
  • You are trading in manufacturing or an eligible services industry
  • You have been trading for at least 2 years

Additional Documentary Development Funding is for further development of a project already funded by us at First Stage

Additional Documentary Development Funding is for feature film documentaries and documentary series that are already in receipt of Screen Ireland funding under the First Stage Documentary Development category.

  • Irish producers with a documentary film project or documentary series project that has already received First Stage Documentary Development funding or Documentary Development funding after 1st January 2023.

Animation Development Loans are to encourage development of animated television series for production

Animation Development Loans enable Irish producers to undertake all concept, design, and story work necessary to prepare an animated television series for production.

  • Irish producers with an animated TV series they wish to develop, clear access to the necessary rights in any material that is to be adapted for the screen and an agreement with the screenwriter and any other creative talent they wish to commission
